About me
Iām a yoga instructor from Ireland, now based in Folkestone, Kent. I have been personally practicing yoga for over 10 years.
Over the years coming to the mat on a regular basis sent my life in a positive direction. It had an effortless pull which meant I stuck with it unlike a lot of other forms of exercise!
My love for the practice took me to South India to take part in a yoga retreat and travel. It was here where yoga really became much more than a physical practice. I deepened my knowledge of meditation techniques, mantra chanting, pranayama and the philosophy of yoga. I realised after this experience that I wanted to share its transformative effect with people.
I soon went back to India to complete a 200 hour teacher training course in the yoga capital of the world - Rishikesh. My mission is to help students come away with not only a stronger supportive body; but also with a calmer mind; and a positivity towards themselves and others.
I teach Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga which are accessible for all levels of experience as I suggest adjustments to the postures. I also teach chair based yoga for those with mobility issues and those who sit at a desk for long periods of time. I encourage people to challenge themselves when they want to and rest when they need to so the classes are for everyone on any given day. I am fully insured and have a certificate in First Aid.
