My services
Online yoga sessions
Zoom from the living room for privacy and time saving. Working from home or a busy parent? Enter a mentally calm space at the click of a button.
Corporate wellbeing
Sitting at a desk all day can have an impact on physical and mental health. Increase productivity and positivity in the workplace by offering your employees regular stress-free sessions. This can be mat or chair based. Chair based sessions combine stretches, energy activation, breathing exercises and guided meditation without the need to change clothing.
One-to-one lessons
If you’re new to yoga and don’t know where to start, or have experience but would like to deepen your knowledge then one to one is for you. People who suffer from injuries benefit greatly from private tuition as the lessons are tailored to their specific needs.
Partner yoga
It can be hard to feel motivated alone so grab your partner in crime and have fun. Unlike an individual practice, partner yoga uses the other person as a prop and resistance to get more out of the postures. A great chance to laugh and bond.
Group yoga classes
In-person local group yoga for people of all levels and experience. Connect with people in your community with a similar desire to explore beyond their environment.
About me
I have been personally practicing yoga for over 10 years. Over the years coming to the mat on a regular sent my life in a positive direction. It had an effortless pull which meant I stuck with it unlike a lot of other forms of exercise!
My love for the practice took me to South India to take part in a yoga retreat and travel. It was here where yoga really became much more than a physical practice. I deepened my knowledge of meditation techniques, mantra chanting, pranayama and the philosophy of yoga. I realised after this experience that I wanted to share its transformative effect with people.
I soon went back to India to complete a 200 hour teacher training course in the yoga capital of the world - Rishikesh. My mission is to help students come away with not only a stronger supportive body; but also with a calmer mind; and a positivity towards themselves and others.
I teach Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga which are accessible for all levels of experience as I suggest adjustments to the postures. I also teach gentle chair based yoga for those with mobility issues and those who sit at a desk for long periods of time. I encourage people to challenge themselves when they want to and rest when they need to. I am fully insured and have a certificate in First Aid.
What I can guide you with
Pranayama
Prana means ‘vital energy’ or ‘life force’ and ayama is defined as ‘expansion’ or ‘extension’. Pranayama (breathing practices) is known to strengthen the lungs, balance the nervous system and influence the flow of prana in the nadis (energy channels).
ASANA
Physical postures organised into a complimentary sequence at a pace that is suitable to the style. The sequence will be designed for either working the whole body or working on improving one particular area of your practice such as balance, alignment, backbends etc.
Meditation
Meditation is the science of healing on a physical, mental and spiritual level. It is being aware of what is inside, your thoughts and feelings. There are many different types of meditation, it’s finding what resonates with you most that’s important. Meditation can be passive, such as guided and chakra meditation or it can be dynamic such as dancing and chanting.
